I stopped into a VZW store on Friday night, and was told because I had only recently upgraded my phone and restarted my contract (got a audiovox 8900 in jan or feb) that I wasn't eligible for the $449 pricing, and would have to pay the full $549.

They told me I had to own my current HARDWARE for 22 months before I could get a deal! I told him to f-off! I change phones more than I change....uh....well....you get the point. 🙂 I'm a gadget person, aren't we all?!?! 🙂 I might wait for the new Ipaq and kick VZW to the curb. I am about the phone, not the service. T-Mobile here is good, and the new Ipaq blows the Treo out of the water.

they give it to u for 200 off retail when u upgrade on 2 yr contract so if u upgraded say every month they would loose $2400 a yr on u so only argue what u understand so f*&* off urself

I am in the staffing industry, and we work with PalmOne a lot, and my account manager got to see what the new treo is about. It is slightly fatter : (, but the camera on the phone is 100 times better. The quality is much more sharp and crisp. Also, there is a camcorder function in the phone, which is another good plus.
As far as the qwerty keyboard goes, on the new treo the keys fully light up, instead of just the letter. That's all for now.

We only have good coverage with ATT and Verizon, with Verizon the better of the two. I tried a friend's Treo 600 and the Treo Ace is much better based on the posted specs.

The Sprint pricing for the Treo 650 appears to be $550. Probably for either version. "Why no discount on non-camera smarthones?", probably because they sell less of those and only do it as a business courtesy. Many workplaces do not allow cameras.

Its The Samsung MMA700. Its The Newest Phone At Sprint. I Did A Side By Side Comparison To The Sanyo VM4500. Let Me Just Say This: The Only Thing That The Sanyo Has Over The Samsung Is Its Readylink Service. The Samsung Has A Much Clearer And Better Color Screen, Takes Better Pictures, And The Video Clarity Is Way Better! The Samsung's Video Capabilites Is Better Because U Can Download Clips, And Look At Live Video Streaming From Didnt Sites! Its Really A Nice Feature That I Wish Sanyo Included With Their VM4500. I got excited when you mentioned the Samsung, then I realized it isn't a PDA phone and it doesn't have a speakerphone.
Overall, it appears to be a great phone, but the price without PDA is a bit steep.
I'd rather wait for the Treo 650, so I can get rid of my LG510 and Handspring Deluxe at the same time.
