Audiovox CDM-9900
Battery Life??
I am going to get the 9900 today in Arizona since I can't pass up this $50 deal. Can anyone tell me about the battery life? My current phone hardly lasts an hour. Also, how is the speakerphone quality?

Audiovox and Verizon are saying the standard battery on the 9900 will top the extended-life battery on the CDM-9500 which is what I have. I can go about 4 or 5 days between charges with minimal calls, and minimal back-light settings. If I talk a lot, I do a full plug charge about once every 3 days.
I'm told that video and sending pics will be a battery power hog though, especially video. So, it sounds like a car charger will be a necessity for heavy video users

How about the quality of the speakerphone? Before I noticed this phone I was going to get the Audiovox 8900 which got bad reviews on the audio quality when in the speakerphone mode.

The speaker phone is loud, and they supposedly fixed the "poppy crackly" issue that the other Audiovox units had. But, the Verizon folks say that LG and Samsung have better (louder) speakerphone volume.
I have the CDM-9500, I use my speaker-phone all the time in the car from a clip on my sunvisor. It's not bad at all, but I have to make some adjustments with the radio and windows if they're open.
If I'm out in the open the 9500's speaker phone was loud and clear enough (and that can only be better if the 9900 has improvements).
