How bad is the sub-lcd on the phone? All I want to see is the time, date and maybe the picture ID. Can someone give me a good idea as to how much I can see on the sub-lcd? Also, how is the battery life compared to a v60? thanks in advance

Its NOT bad. Its just not great. You can see time, date, notification of a scheduled event, notification of missed call, notification of incoming message, battery level, signal strength and picture ID, except in bright sunlight.

Since there is a giant color LCD and all of the extra features, the battery life is not as long as with my v60i. Its OK though.

The other thing is that if you are used to the V60, the size difference will surprise you. The big bright screen is the trade off for the size and...

The LCD isn't bad.....but it's not as good as the 9500. The 9900's is kinda hard to see in daylight, but you can tweak the settings to help this. I wish the font had been as bold as the font on the 9500. I'm getting old and my eyes ain't what they use to be.

You may wish to read pages 101 through 106 of your CDM9900 User Manual.
