Refund/Exchange Policy?

I was reading the refund/exchange policy for VZW, and it said that they give refurbished phones upon exchange. Is this true? Because I was planning on possibly exchanging my 9900 for the LG6100, if I'm not thoroughly satisfied with it by the end of my 15 day period.

So far, having only had my 9900 for a few hours, I'm very happy with it. Gotta give kudos to Toshiba/Audiovox for making such a phenomenal screen...by far the best I've seen yet...like looking at my computer screen. My only gripe at first was the sad selection of ringtones...and the volume of the ringers (which I soon fixed)...and xringer gave me a free ringtone so that was sweet. But now I'm a little leary of the plastic casing...does this seem like durable material? I'm so a...

Don't worry about the plastic, but purchase the leather cover for the phone. Not the "carrying Case". Anything that is dropped will become scuffed and scratched, metal or plastic.

Thanks. I kinda figured that to be the case. My old phone was I think metal, and it was pretty scratched up too by the end of my two years.

Milkman: are you saying that they do give you refurbished phones when you exchange? or was that a rhetorical question 😳 🙂

Nah, I was just responding to your comment about them giving refurbed phones. I have no idea, but even if they did, they probably wouldn't have a refurb 6100 to give; they're too new. 😎

Alright. Sounds good. I was just writing what I read though...their policy on the website. It didn't say anything about a new device...so I was curious about that. But someone already cleared that up for me on here 🙂.

How many refurbished 6100s are you going to see in the next two weeks?? 😉

This is not true. I work in the store and you will get a new phone within the 15 days. If the phone is proven to be defective within 30 days (but after your 15 days) you will get the same handset, but brand new. If the handset is out of stock, then we can order a new one for you from the warehouse. If there are no new phones in stock at the store or the warehouse, then you probably would get a refurbished phone. That's pretty rare except in the case of the 9900. Refurbished phones are for warranty exchanges, say if you come in 9 months later with a manfacturer defect. Even in this case, the phone MAY be new. Hope that this answers your question.

Thanks! That does answer my question.
