9900 is not discontinued
Just wanted you all to know that I emailed Audiovox directly and they told me that it isn't discontinued. They stated that they got quite a few inquiries on this subject matter and reassured me that I wasn't making a pointless purchase. Have a good day all 🙂

the 9900 has been discontinued. my mom went to the verizon phone and tried to get a new phone- but doesn't know anything about any of them. she liked that one because it was big, and she asked the guy if it was worth getting and he said no (knowing that she knew nothing) and told her that the reason was that it was being discontinued.

Ok...but Audiovox has told me that this is not the case. Why would Audiovox lie? It is not discontinued and whomever you spoke with doesn't know what they are talking about. 😎

im in pnw too. ordered mine on 10/1, didnt get it till 10/13! the audiovox guy told me toshiba made a certin # of phones and once they are out, they are gone. apparently they are getting out of the cell phone business. but there is still more to be shipped to vzw to fill orders and stuff.

I guess I got lucky.
I bought 2 on 10/2 before the Olympia, Wash. store sold out. After trying it for a couple days, I drove to Seattle to get a 3rd because all of SW. Wash was sold out.
I showed it to my mother and she wanted one so she ordered it through VZ Cust. Svc. on 10/11 and got it on 10/14. 😁

Its plain and simple... The phone is discontinued. The phone is still available in some areas but they are no longer made by Audiovox. If you have a chance to get the phone then you should because its a really nice phone. I used a demo one for 2 weeks and I loved it. I just got the 6100 Wednesday and I like this one too. The text messaging takes fewer steps than the 9900 but if you don't text message then its all good.

I don't know why you think the phone is discontinued... on vzw's website it's just back in stock today, i called my local store and they just got a brand new shipment of phones from the manufacturer, why you'd believe they'd discontinue one of the best selling phones they've ha...

when u call you store it comes from a centalized warehouse we do not get stuff from audiovox or any other company... Even My manage 🙄 ment said that the 9900 is discontinued

Actually it's not discontinued and Toshiba makes the phone. The reason this phone is awesome is because the other company (Hyundai) didn't make this one. These companies are the ones that manufacture Audiovox phones. 😎
