text message ring, and phone # ring confused.
I set up a friends phone number for a specific ring tone. Then I set up my txt message ring tone. I want all text messages to be the same ring tone. But, when I receive a text message it sees his cell number, and plays the ring tone set up in the phone book.
Is there something I'm missing, or does this phone lack the ability to have 2 separate tones for a call and txt from one number?

I discovered the same issue today. Don't know the answer, but I'm guessing the special ringtone doesn't distinuish between phone calls and txt msgs. Just any match to that number. ☹️

it lacks. you can set a different ringer for txt, but if a phone book entry calls and there is a ringer assigned to it, it will play that ringer. 😢
