Audiovox CDM-9900---- Is Verizon stores going to get any more?

I was wondering if Verizon is going to get any more of these phones in the next few weeks. The verizon rep I talked with today said he has a waiting list of over 62 people for this phone, mostly new contracts....

As far as I know, this phone is only being sold to new customers and is no longer on the shelves...at least here in Hawaii. So new customers have to sort of know this before they enter the store to make a purchase. I was one of the lucky few (already existing customers) who "knew" and was able to get one on a hush hush basis according to the rep that did my transactions. And so far have no regrets in getting this either...love it 🙂

While saying the phone is no longer on the shelves may be correct, saying that VZW is selling the phone only to new customers is pure fiction. Do you think they keep the phone in the back or inside a trenchcoat? If they have it they will sell it to anyone.

The phone was listed on the website and online with a full price. Anyone paying that price is certainly not a new customer. I walked into a store on the second day after its release and purchased one at that price. I am not a new customer and did not have to hide anything.

Read the reviews in the other groups and forums. Most of those people discussing the phone are not new customers.

Please read my post carefully before assuming that I'm wrong. I specifically said, for Hawaii only. Every region, it seems, varies. How can every rep in the store be wrong? And this is a VZW store, not some authorized retail vendor.

Anyway, I personally think this subject is getting old, so this will be my last post regarding the continuation of the 9900. Sorry for offending any of you, but I'm just relating what I was told...nothing more, nothing less.

Not to flame you but it has been said before in all the forums that store reps have very little knowledge of what is going on. Try asking the any question at a store, and two or three phone calls to VZW customer sevice. I guarantee that you will get a different answer from each rep.
