MIssed Call Indicator

HELP! I know I've asked this before, but I can't get this annoying red LED to stop blinking. I DID check the manual before posting the first time, am not new to owning a cell phone, nor am I less than intelligent. I know how to check missed calls, delete them, etc. And still the light blinks. Is there some other reason for it to blink red other than a missed call? I find myself checking constantly for a new missed call and there isn't one. I'm ready to take this otherwise great phone back! I CAN'T TAKE THE CONSTANTLY BLINKING LIGHT!

Um...in addition to missed calls, it also alerts you to voicemail messages, text messages, pages, pic messages, etc...If after checking all of those things the light still flashes, give tech support a call. Perhaps it's alerting to you to some unknow problem that only tech support knows???

Thanks. You just reminded me to delete the one old text message I had. (I had opened it and read it in its entirety a week ago, but didn't delete it. The phone just started blinking again a couple of days ago 😕 )

Still seems glitchy, but THE BLINKING HAS STOPPED..........for now! 😁

You're welcome. What's more annoying than the flashing LED is the beep that comes with the alerts (if you have it set) Somehow my phone ended up with a constant beep for missed alerts. I couldn't figure out what was happening until I realized I had an unopened text message. I quickly found how to deactivate this feature 🙂

I would like to have my 9900 beep every few minutes when it wants my attention...

How did you get it to do that...???

Go to option 3-Messaging, option 9, option 1, then option 6 (alerts) Here you can select how you want the phone to alert you. You can do beeps once (low and high) beeps (low and high); custom, as well as vibrate. Here's something very intersting. If you select vibrate remind, it also beeps then vibrates? I haven't selected this one yet, but I think I am going to play with this function some more. My thought is if it can beep then vibrate, it should ring then vibrate?

Wow! I didn't realize it had that feature either! I like the idea of audible alerts - when there's a NEW message! 🙂 I find that the interval between LED blinks is a little too slow to be useful anyway. You have to look at it for a few seconds to determine whether or not you have a missed msg (especially with the outer display being barely visible without the backlight). I will play with the audible alerts in the morning. GO SOX!!!

There is the that option of voice guidance...but I find it to be annoying because the stupid thing talks for every function.

You can record voice notes and set them as your alerts as well
