I e mailed vzw and asked why it was off the site..here is their response:

"Thank you for contacting Verizon Wireless through our website.

We appreciate your inquiry regarding upgrading to the CDM9900 and are happy to assist you.

This phone will continue to be offered, however, we currently have the phone out of stock. We anticipate receiving it in stock again shortly. Thank you for your patience."

No, the phone's not gone. I was in a Verizon store in Nanuet, NY this afternoon and they had CDM-9900s in stock.

Are the *611 call centers in different regions like the Internet Fulfillment Teams (West/Midwest/East)?
If so, what region did you call from, glbcbc?

The reason why I'm asking:
I've been wanting to upgrade 2 phones to CDM-9900's. I live in Hawaii. Following the messages in this forum, I ordered 1 phone from Florida. They were able to relay my order to the West Team, and the phone is supposedly being Fedex'd here now.

I then ordered a 2nd phone from a Chicago zipcode, to be mailed to a Chicago address, because the phone it is upgrading is physically in that city. The Midwest team just emailed me that they couldn't do my order cause they couldn't access my account, so go call *611. If 611's just going to tell me, "Sorry, we're sol...

Nope, I'm not on Oahu. Besides, if you order online, you don't have to fuss with the mail in rebate stuff.

Anyway, I just tried logging into my account online, and they've stopped me from doing things online. Maybe they think I'm not me? I guess I better just call them. Grrrr... this is getting so d*mn difficult...

Ok, I called them. Missy was able to get my upgrade to the CDM-9900 done, called my son to verify his address, change the mail-in rebate to the online discount, and charge it to my existing wireless account. It'll get there on Tuesday. She did great! I still don't know what the deal is with the block on the upgrade page. But that's ok, I'm done with my upgrades. Another satisfied Verizon Wireless customer!

I called 611 three times and found someone that tried to order vs. look it up and the order went through. It shipped in two days...so depends on who you talk too.
