Question about the scheduler

I put in my list of events to remember in the scheduler...and yesterday a certain event pertaining to school was scheduled with the alert reminder and everything...but my cousin's birthday alert popped up instead, which is due for later this month...any suggestions as to why this happened? I checked the dates and times but everything was the way it was supposed to be 😕

I guess no one else has this problem...but it happened again today. What is up with this? Am I doing something wrong? I double checked everything, timers, alerts and all....but still happened 😡

Thanks in advance for any help...

I've only used the scheduler a couple of times but mine has been OK so far.

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. But if you guys aren't having this problem...it's either me or the phone ☚ī¸

Actually, my scheduler is kind of buggy too. I remember once I had no events scheduled for the day, but the scheduler reminder was on all day (the one on the main screen). And then that same day my phone was acting funky, like if I left it on and open, the background would dim, then go to black, then seconds later it'd light up again for no reason. My Get it Now was also kinda weird that day, and I'd be logged off whatever I was browsing from time to time. Same goes for the internet, I'd constantly lose connection to the internet. Then I went to the scheduler and selected "delete all events before this day" or soemthing like that, and the problem was solved. So I'm guessing all that crap was because of the scheduler trying to remind me...

hey, another note. I was playing around with the scheduler after reading your post, and I turned an alarm on for an event that was scheduled for today. Then the scheduler icon came up on my main screen. Then I turned the alarm off, but the scheduler icon is still there. Uh, is it supposed to still be there? I haven't tried out GIN or the internet or whatever yet so I don't know if it's the same problem or not.

So would you suggest that I delete all the events before today? I don't know if that will do anything, because the event popping up in the today slot is for later this month and then one popped up for January 05. Should I still delete what's there?

You obviously have entered something that has caused a conflict in the program, or certainly not performing as you expected. Most likely it was an entry error.

It would be best to delete all the entries until start with a fresh clean slate. Since you are more aware of how to use it now, the problem will most likely not reappear when the entries are put back in correctly.

The scheduler icon on the screen is suppose to stay on if you have a entry for current date set.

I do have the scheduler icon on the screen, but when it comes time to alert me by alarm, it shows the wrong event. The alarm comes on at the right time, but shows the wrong event.

These cell phones are just like a computer, they have chips and memory in them that gets corrupted at times due to some unknown cause. Like a computer, wipe it clean and re-install and you should be ok.

Some entry has caused the file to be corrupted, so delete them all and re-enter a few then test it with some scheduled times to see it is working before you re-enter everything.

If it has the problem with just 4 or 5 new entries, then exchange the phone.

I can't believe everyone is so will to just accept this buggy behavior without suggesting that you contact Verizon and report this.

It's not like the software was written by Microsoft 😛

The fact that you, as a user, are able to corrupt the scheduling software to cause it to misbehave should NOT be acceptable. It should NOT be an acceptable solution to make the use "delete and re-enter" all the information.

If Verizon truly supports their products, I would think that this is the type of problem they would want to fix in a software update.

Call and report it!!

I think I will call and report this because I had to delete over 15 events...(which isn't much, but still)...

Deleting the events did fix the problem, but I'll still give 'em a call and see what they think...when I get the TIME.
