Sending pics

Hey I'm having trouble sending pictures to my phone via email. I've cropped a bunch of images and resized them to be 240 wide by X pixels long, and saved them as a jpeg file (I've tried both extensions .jpg and .jpeg). When they get to my phone it says "filetype not supported" but it's a jpeg file so I don't know what's going on. I've used irfanview, faststone, and Photosuite 4 for the cropping, resizing, and saving. Anyone have any suggestions?

I had the exact same problem with my 9900 as well. Two calls to VW tech support did not help. Their answer was that they did not support full resolution (240w x 320h) images sent via email ( ##########@vxwpix.com). Seeing as there are pre-ins...

Hey thanks Isasaki, I'll be sure to try those settings when I get a chance!

BTW, is there any noticable difference in picture quality when the compression quality is down to 30 (when viewing on the phone)? I'm currently compressing them under 80.

Solid repeating colors with little difference -- such as slightly varying colors of dark grey/black -- look a little more pixelated. However for most pictures, the difference should be negligible. This is a characteristic of .jpeg compression.

Please respond to see if my file size theory is correct. I'm tired of experimenting $0.25 at a time :\

There is no problem if you send the images DIRECTLY to your phone with ##########@vzwpix.com... crop and then resize the image to 240Wx320H... the level of jpeg compression is not really important, but you do want to conserve ram, so use a moderate compression level... I use 15 compression in Paint Shop Pro... I have sent many image files from 5kb to 47kb, and MP3 and MIDI sound files from 3kb to 120kb... (individual files above 125kb do not seem to be allowed, but a total of up to 8 file can be sent at once, as long as the total size does not exceed 300kb...)

If you send (or upload) the image to your online vzwpix album you can download it and it will be unaltered... BUT if you SEND it from your online album, to a phone (any phone), it w...

I could sure use a little help here. I need for someone to fully explain how to send pix to my phone other than through vzwpix.com. I've talked till I'm blue in the face with numberous verizon tech support people. Hours of wasted time I might add. NO ONE with Verizon knows anything! I've been passed from person to person to person........

All I wanted was to send pix for wallpaper off my computer. First I was told to use the data cable. Well, we all know that's not currently an option. Then I was I couldn't do it using vzwpix.com by sending myself a picture message. I was told I needed to send myself a text message with an attachment. Well, I did that and couldn't access the file. Then, I was I couldn't do that and had to use v...
