Speakerphne and other concerns

I have had the 9900 for about nine days - I want to like this phone but I am having a few problems. When the speakerphone is set to high volume so that you can hear it there is a distortion of the sound and it overmodulates.
Also the voice dialing rarely recognizes the names that have been stored. I have to repeat the name six times before it sometimes accepts it. My old LG510 - a very basic phone never had a problem recognizing my voice and dailed on the first try.
Are other having this problem? Could it be just this one? I am about to give in and switch to the LG6100 which I really don't want to do! 😢

Mine works great on both counts. I think it's probably a faulty phone. I'd exchange it for a new one. Good Luck.

As for the voice dial, I have found out that if you wait for one second or so after the propmpt asking you to give the name, then the phone will recognize the names without any problems.

Also, when you record the names, make sure you are in a quiet area. If there is any background noise, like TV, kids, etc., the phone will expect to hear the same noise when you try to use the voice dial.
