The other night I went to Get It Now on the 9900 and saw under the ringtone sites that one of them scrolled across the screen - just above the one use $1.99 - Free Expires 12/18/04.
What does this mean? Could I get ringtones free until 12/18/04? Could I get one ringtone free? Would the ringtones downloaded free not work after 12/18/04?
As I tend not to trust Verizon I did not try it just to see what would happen. Does anyone know?

I tried that out for Xringer, and it wasn't free...it's buy one get one free. I don't know if that was the same one you saw. And for others like modtones...it just lets you browse for free, but you have to purchase a ringer. Hope this helps.
