Big Factor
I been hearing all these good things about the 9900 but the most important factor has always been left out. PRICE! how will it compare to its competition such as the VX700 or the Motorola V710. Does anybody have a price estimate?
...
You all need to realize that the V710 will be out of a lot of peoples price range for the simple reason of Bluetooth capabilities. My estimate, and a lot of others' is $350-$400 range on the V710. The VX7000 should run you $225 or so w/ 2 year agreement. And the 9900, will probably be your average $200 with a $50 mail-in on a 2 yr. contract.
Just my speculation from experience
...
yeah thats sounds about right. 350-400 is way to much for a phone. Just based on price I feel like with the the VX700 and the 9900 you are getting more for your money.
After all..how much do you think it costs to make a phone? not much
...
It cost around $10-$20 for the parts, and thats a stretch
...
I think $350-$400 is outrageous, the V600 is under $200 and it just came out.

Pay attention:
BLUETOOTH. That is why its so expensive. And if you compare it to the cars with bluetooth equipt phones, they run you at $2,500 for 4 years. Plus the service you pay for. Not a bad deal if one needs it that much. If you do not need it, no hurry, wait for the price drop to $200.
...
If I am correct the V600 has BLUETOOTH, so I guess I do pay attention

Sorry, my fault, only read the specs, not the description. To reanswer your question of the reason why the price range is so high, I'd say simply because VZW thinks they can. The first bluetooth phone for them, and the have the best coverage at the time. So i guess its either that, or they are nuts.

Thanks for the reply.
