Audiovox CDM-9900
the 9900 is the best phone of the bunch
1. Best Looking Screen...
-well, if you look at the specs of this phone and compare it to others, one might derive that this phone has a better looking screen. Similar to how you might think a HDTV enabled tv compared to non hd-tv, might have a better picture, then again, i've never owned a hdtv so I guess I should not argue that?
In addition, sprint users of this phone clone repeatadly talk of how great the screen is. Also, people other than myself, who have claimed to have seen this phone, argue the same.
2. Great voice recorder.
-well, i feel like that one is hard to argue, and is rather subjective..although i value his o...

Now for direct comparison, lets put the 9900 in the bullpen against, say, the LG VX8000 (obviously, my personal favorite).
Display: Apparently the LG has 2K more colors on the internal display and thus has the same contrast as the VX6000 (which happens to ha...

if your going to compare the 9900 to an LG how about comparing it to an LG thats coming out the same time as the 9900..(vx7000). i would hope that the vx8000 is going to be a better phone than the 9900 considering it is about 3-4 months away from release. i think the only reason you didnt compare the 9900 to the vx7000 is because the 9900 will kick the **** out of the vx7000...lets make a more realistic comparison next time

EXACTLY, well said bakerr26!!!PS- If youre gonna say that the 8000 kicks the 9900s ass (which we all agree)and u may as well wait the 2 extra months, Why not then wait 2 additional months and get the nokia 6255 which will kick the **** outta the 8000? I mean theres always gonna b newer, better if u wait, but who has that kinda patience? The bottom line here is that the 9900 (made by toshiba BTW) is better probably than the current crop of video phones.
You have to be kidding me. I already explained why the comparison was proper, but do you seriously want to bring Nokia into this!??? 🙄 Since I'm sure you're alone on this one I hardly even care to go any further, but anyways, I think th...

That was a pointless arguement.
Likewise, eljefe. Try adding some merit to your replies next time rather than simply hating on a debate.

First of all, you never clarified which phones to include in your comparison...

Also, I'm curious....does the LG VX8000 have analog roaming capability like the Audi 9900? Traveling in rural areas this is important.
Before asking these types of questions, why don't you just check the specs on the phone right here in Phonescoop! It tells you all of the features of the phone, and other phones too. 😕
It won't be the 15th and it won't be the 25th. Nobody at 611 or the stores has even heard of the 9900. Audiovox has, I called them, but they say it is up to VZN. Personally, I have had it w/ VZN, there current phone selection stinks and price plans aren't really great either. By the time VZN gets around to releasing this phone it won't really be "state of the art" anymore, however, I guaratee VZN will price it like it is.

I agree with you. The stores and 611 have no info whatsoever on the 9900. The stores do know about the 710 and the LG 7000. On Saturday when I was getting the antenna replaced on my antique V60i, I was told the the release of...
