Motorola V400
P2k Driver
For P2KMan, the drivers are included in the zip file and you just need to point the driver search to the "drv" folder wherever you extract P2KMan.
For MPT, first off make sure you have the latest update of it. The prompts as you start it up should walk you through and do pretty much all of the driver installation itself.
If the driver is just not working after that, see if you phone is showing up in Device Manager with or without a ding (exclamation point) next to it. Quickest way to Device Manager is to right-click on "My Computer" (either on your desktop or in the Start menu) and choose Properties. Then click the Hardware tab at the top and then the Device Manager Button on the middle of that ...

At the very bottom of the P2KMan window should be "Uploading Path:" with a textbox to the right of it. If for some reason there is no textbox there for you, for this particular file (gain_table.bin) it SHOULD be acceptable to skip that step.
The SEEM files are a bit different and not covered by the guide. With the newest version of P2KMan they changed the wording on the buttons around, so the button to upload the gain_table.bin file is "PC >>> Phone". That should be it. Let me know if it works or not.

Simplest way to reinstall the drivers? Usually if you disconnect the USB cable from your computer and then plug it into a different USB port on your computer it will go back through the driver installation process and you can then point to the "drv" folder wherever you have P2KMan installed.
If that's not viable, you can do the following. This is a step-by-step walkthrough of the entire process of fully reinstalling the driver.
Click the Start button, right-click on My Computer, and choose Properties from the drop-down menu. Click the Hardware tab at the top, then click the Device Manager button. In device manager you should see an entry under Modems for "Motorola USB M...

Try downloading the gain_table.bin file from your phone again, then upload that same unmodified file back to the phone. This will let you know that the software is still working, and indicate whether the modified file is what it's having problems with.
For the driver listing, does "Motorola USB Device" have the little + sign next to it or is it listed under Modems? In the right-click menu it should give you the options of Update Driver..., Disable, and Uninstall besides those 2 basic options. The menu items will show those 2 option...
