NO CAMERA!!
I think all new model phones should come standard with a camera. It is the future in wireless network. No more caller ID but picture ID.

Thats stupid, cameras are nice for the first couple weeks, after that just a feature that is used sparingly, you want to take pictures go get yourself a real3.2-5 megapixel camera

It's a useful feature for many people. However, a large and increasing number of companies do not allow camera phones on company property, to protect against corporate espionage. Therefore, carriers need to continue offering at least some non-camera phones.
Plus, it obviously adds to the size and cost of a phone, so there's certainly a market for cheap, non-camera phones at the low end. Kyocera's Phantom/Rave/Blade series has always been entry-level, so cost could be the determining factor here. I'm sure Verizon would like a full range of PTT phones, including an affordable model like this.

The whole no caller Id and picture ID instead is a great idea but it would never work out.
First, what Rich said and second, I don't know about all phones but the LG VX6000 can only hold up to 20 pictures including the one's for picture ID.

You can't make every phone with cameras. Some people work in areas that require security and won't allow a camera phone on the premises. This is why such a wide selection is available
