The Android 5.0 Lollipop update is not yet available on my country for Samsung Galaxy S5. If I use Odin in updating my phone using other country's baseband version, is my phone then considered rooted and have violated my carrier's policy? 👀 👀 👀

There are a couple considerations.

1. variants of Galaxy Phones often differ slightly from country to country. Installing a build for a different device (no matter how similar) could brick your phone.

2. You will likely have to root your phone in order to install a new Android version. If rooting your phones invalidates your warranty or your carrier's policy, then that would be the case here. Your best bet would be to call your carrier and specifically ask how this scenario fits in their policy.
