H500 headset looks cool but its just an upgrade to H820. still no cool BOOM mic
I think its a waste of an upgrade. Its just looks. It seems like it has no on/off button or boom. So it will always be in standby and draining battery. Nice try to make more money MOTO, but i'll stay with my HS810 Boom Mic headset.

the boom mic headsets are trouble there are a lot of complaints with connecting and disconnecting. Because you have to open the boom mic to turn the headset on and a lot of the headsets keep disconnecting on people i was one of those people. My friend works for a corporate Verizon store he said he has had a lot of people come in there with those headsets and had the same problem you must of got lucky and got a good working headset. I like my H820 and cant wait for the H500!

I agree. I love my HS820. Never a problem with it. Sounds great, works great. The fewer moving parts the better, I say! 🙂

I like the turn off/ turn on feature of the boom mic..

The H820 has a on/off button as well just hold the control button in wait until the headset blinks 4 times and it will say headset disconnected and do the same thing to connect the headset to the phone. Less parts less problems less things to break. I tried the boom mic and i had no luck and if you look on motorolas website they dont offer it anymore i wonder why. They took the H820 off to upgrade to the H500 which will be awesome. The other problem with the boom mic is the little silver piece of plastic on the bottom of the mic that keeps falling off.

i guess i really did get lucky and got 2 good boom mic headsets.. oh well to each his own.

Yeap and if you want anymore you better get them while you can because they arent on Motorolas website anymore but Verizon sells them under V710 Accessories.

oh i would never buy any of these headsets at motorola or verizon. total rip off. i get them online.

Yea i got mine online and i got ripped off. At least when you buy from Motorola or Verizon you have a guarantee there thats a comfort zone if anything goes wrong.

The H700 is the upgrade of the HS850, which I use. The H500 is merely an upgrade to the HS820. I like the boom but at least Motorola offers choices to suit your preferences.
And, yes, certain accessories should be purchased from reputable sources. Its easy to get 20% off a BT headset and still get the comfort zone.
