E815 battery in a v710

Has anybody tried to use the larger e815 battery on the v710. I noticed that the standard battery on the e815 was larger than the v710 standard battery. I was thinking that this might work without having to replace the battery door thus giving the phone extended battery time without making it thicker.

The e815 standard battery is completely different battery than the V710 battery. From what i am understanding the extended battery for the E815 will be the extended battery on the V710 you will just be able to get more life out of the extended battery on the E815 than you would with it being on the V710 and i wouldn't tell anyone you are swapping batteries like that someone will void your cell phone warranty right out. They wont even let you use a extended battery that was in another phone into a new phone unless its the same model or else they will void your cell phone warranty.

fwiw, I was in Circuit City today and asked for an extended battery for my new 710. The clerk told me he did not have any in stock, but he did have one for the 815. He said it would work and the only difference was the cover was platinum on the 815. I decided to look a little further.

Not sure if it'll work, but if what you want is more battery life without making the phone thicker, forget it. The battery on the e815 is thicker than the one on the v710. The battery cover on the e815 sticks out a little. It doesn't on the v710.
