Notice picture problems with 8700_01.02.SD
If anyone is having problems sending picture messages please read this. Ok, I first noticed this about a month ago when my phone would not connect to the GetItNow service, my picture messages would start sending but time out. Saying Error sending message. I upgraded to the modified firmware version 8700_01.02.SD about a year ago. What I noticed is when my phone updates using the *228 feature, It would change my phone number under the Settings>Security>Data Connection>1XRTT> password = 000000 wrongnumber@vzw3g.com. When I changed it back, GetItNow would work, but picture messaging still won't. Verizon basically keeps telling me I need to update to the latest software version?

I would agree that you should update to the VZW software instead of the SD software. I was running the SD for awhile but it seems the OR has less problems. Also, with a USB cable and some software you can tweak seem(s) to make the new software have the transflash copy features like SD has.
