v710 Memory Card Transfer

Simple problem:

I just traded in my old v710 for a new one. I have the memory card with rings that i have made that I used on my other v710. I would simply mark the file and copy it to the phone. Then I would asign it as a ringtone bla bla bla. Well now I click on the file on my memory card and there is no option to copy to phone. WHAT DO I DO? Thanks in advance all.

Verizon has disabled this feature to copy from the card to the phone in the latest software upgrade of the phone.

But there is a workaround. Check this out and it should solve your problem:

Or, you can edit the SEEM on your v710 with a USB data cable and some software to reenable the Copy function (which I have done).

I did that and it worked once. But now it will not allow me to send the files in a message. Can you run down step by step so I can see where the problem is. AND WHY WOULD THEY DISSABLE THAT FUNCTION?!?

Because they are money hungry. Preventing the customer from using their own ringtones and making them use Get It Now service to download ringers for around 5$/song.
