Why is it taking so long when...
Motorola already has the V600 in release for AT&T, and the V710 is supposed to be the same phone, so why is it taking so long for them to release the V710? My nephew has the V600 and from I can see both phones seem identical. Also, why the garbage about extensive field testing. I have the Audiovox 8900 and it's a piece of crap. The sound is terrible; the volume level keeps changing; and the speakerphone is as useful as holding the phone away from you ear and listening through a regular earpiece. And they tested it for months?????

Actually the V710 is a bit different, and I have the 8900 too. When you think about it, its not too bad a phone. Agreed, the speakerphone is useless, but if you wanted a phone with a "usable" speakerphone, you should have gone with a VX4500. The phone software is setup rather nicely, and the sound cannot fluctuate unless you have the phone open? So how is the sound changing on your phone? You may be hitting the softkeys while talking by accident. The ringtones are not that loud, but if you d/l one, they seem to be a bit louder. BTW, do you know how to put it into powersave mode?

Actually, I wasn't clear when I said the sound changes. I find that even though I have the volume set for the highest level, it will often be in a lower level when I go to answer the phone. It won't stay "locked" at level 5. I also noticed that the clarity sounds muffled when I get calls from others, even those using land lines on good quality phones.
I do not know how to put it in Power Saver mode. What will this accomplish and how do you do it? Thanks.

Well, I dont know how your phone doesnt stay locked in level 5? The powersave mode goes into effect after a certain amount of time has elapsed where a button, or the screen has not illuminated. It leaves the phone on, but the screen is not reactive to opening the flip, and the phone moves automatically into "silence all" mode, so there is no sounds. In school, I cannot have my phone on, and there are many blank spots where I have no service, so to conserve battery, I wish to put it into powersave mode, instead of wait for it to go into it.
