i called a verizon rep and he swore to me this phones coming out the end of may/begining of june and the 810 will be out at the end of summer

anyway, suppose it does come out that soon...my verizon 1 year contract is not up until august 30th!!! theres no way im waiting 3 more ****in additional months until i can actually buy it...how much do cancellation fees cost these days???

and also, what if i "drop my phone down the stairs?" ..if i went into verizon the next day with a broken phone, would they let me upgrade to the v710 if i paid the full price of it? or would they order me another v60p (the piece of **** i have now)

plz help me, theres no way im waiting til august 30th

you don't have many options... VZW cancellation policy is $175, you can choose to buy the phone at full price but that is usually about $150-200 more expensive then the promotional price. If your phone works I would hold out until August then go for the 710 or 810. If your break your phone they will give you the replacement to your phone.

If you are really bent on getting a phone sooner try to call VZW and threaten to cancel your service, if you say you are going to cancel or not renew they might work with you, but you need to talk to a supervisor to get anything done. Good Luck

You can get a new phone at the discounted price 10 months into a 1 year contract and 22 months into a 2 year contract as long as you sign a new agreement. I posted the official upgrade policy that I got in an email response from Verizon somewhere back in this thread.

😈 Dude, you need a serious chill pill. If you hate Verizon so much.... Why are you still with them? Being an employee for them I'd like to see customers like yourself just cancel and leave rather than cause me a headache at work, cuz that's what you're doing! You sign a contract, like everyone else, & you have to keep it for a certain length of time, like everyone else, before you're 'eligible' to upgrade your phone. Don't like it? Don't sign the flipping contract & pay full price for the flipping phone when it comes out. But for god sakes, stop being a little, whiny, spoiled little brat about it & grow up. You're talking about a phone?! JESUS CHRIST!
