V710 questions - coming from VX4400B

I'm tiring of my VX4400B, and am also frustrated with it's lack of ability to place a call in fringe areas. There are many times that I am forced to wait to place a call because I know in several minutes, the call will just get dropped. It also has a hard time letting go of a weak tower in favor of a stronger tower. When the call finally drops, my signal strength goes to full max. It annoys the heck out of me, because if it just did a better job of switching towers, I wouldn't lose the call. I'm an electrical contractor, and it's tough to conduct business when this happens. Would you feel comfortable buying a phone from Radio Shack when it's the last one in their inventory, or would I be better off purchasing directly from Motorola? The price is practically the same either way. I'd like to look at the phone before ordering one, but the phones are in sealed boxes.

Either way it is still a Verizon phone and if it needs to be replaced you'll get the e815. I say if the price is right grab the v710 from Radio Shack.

The charger worked fine for the first few months but as of late the phone give me "Unable To Charge" and I have to play around with the cord to get it to make proper connection and charge. I've found that using my USB cable with the charger attached works 100% of the time. It's hard to explain unless you can see how the phone charges. The charger uses only 3 prongs on the bottom of the phone where the USB cable uses all of the prongs...
