Big problem with receipt for settlement, can anyone help?

I purchased my 710 at full price on August 31st of 2004. I do not have my original receipt. I tried to get it from Verizon and that is where the problem comes in. The store that I bought it at is no longer a corporate store. When they try to pull the transaction up from another location they cannot get it because it gives them an invalid location error. Customer care said they could see where I purchased it, what I paid and all of the info but could not access the actual receipt due to the store being gone now. Is there any way to get my hands on a copy of my original receipt?

technically, you do not need an actual receipt...I didnt have mine and was able to send in my credit card statement with the purchase on it.

Did you pay cash? If not can you get your august 2004 credit card / bank card statement...that counts as proof of purchase. I already contacted the settlement admin and they said they received mine and confirmed proof of purchase.

hope that helps, not sure how else you can get a copy of original receipt
