Parrot Ck3100
tloAug 3, 2004, 1:21 PM
Has anyone purchased this product that is big in the UK? THe Parrot ck3100 or the ck3000 is a bluetooth handsfree kit that integrates with your vehicles stereo sytem. The ck3100 has a display for caller id and phonebook. It seems awesome but I wanted to know if anyone has this or heard of it's quality. The v710 is not on it's list of capatable phones but the v600 is and I am sure because the v710 is not considered released yet so they can not add to the list.

Yes, I had it installed in my New Lincoln Town Car when Lincoln's "Mobile Ease Hands Free" system didn't work.
It is not all that great, but it can work if you pick a carrier that doesn't disable the functions in your phone. In my case, I bought a Motorola V710, not realizing that Verizon was going to disable some of the functions.
Be aware that there is a software update available for the Parrot CK3100, be sure to have it installed when they install the car kit. 🙄

I installed it in my gf touareg and it works fine. Just can't transfer the phonebook to the hands free unit. That means when someone calls it won't show the name on the display of the Parrot, just the number.
