Motorola V710

Ok, I like this phone, I want this phone, but I dont feel its necessary to get all upset over a release date. It doesn't matter who says what in these forums about its release date, it willb be released when its released..hopefully soon, but if its not..what can we do about it? nothing..nada..zipp, unless someone here can manufature one themselves.

On another note..once we do have this phone in our hands there will be another phone on the horizon that we want and start waitting for, gadget freaks like ourselves will NEVER be satisfied, trust me, my wifes knows 😛

On the Motorola page, it mentions that the Texture of the phone is Serf and Perf. Does anybody know what this means? Thanks for your help!

I know it has a better camera... and an mp3 player.. and expandable memory.... but are there any other reasons why the V710 is better than the V600?

I just talked to a close relative that is a sales manager for Verizon. He has been told about the V710 but did not have a confirmation about the release date. He is going to call his coordinator and inquire for me as to when it will be available (my V60 is dying quickly). I will post again when he calls me back with any new information.

So, I got my email yesterday telling me about the great new V710 but, as you probably already know there was no link to click on to purchase. So, I sent them an email...here's the response.

It's not being advertised directly (yet) but if you watch the phone that is handed to the Hear Me Now guy when the woman comes out of the bathroom (checking their great signal strength) it's the V710. It may be sooner than everyone thinks. 😳

Called motorola today and of course the rep. didnt seem to know ****. Off the bat he told me it would be released "end of summer" and then when I asked him about the mp3 ringtones he told me that "of course, great phone, great phone.... just go to get it now and you can get mp3 ringtones"

They dont seem to know **** so by next friday hopefully we'll be able to find out for ourselves

i sit here hovering over the forums waiting for people to come out with more info. I hope it comes out may 21ist or i think ill cry! (dont respond making fun of me cuz i know im pathetic, besides it is sarcasm....sorta)

So still i havent seen anything posted about whether mp3's will be available as ringtones or just the Get It Now ****s????

😡 man i just bought a startac to hold me ove til this phone comes out which i thought would be a few months now and now you guys are saying it should be out n a few days. at least the startacs good, probably the best phone ever built by motorola besides the v710(hopefully)

In my opinion, May 21 is the day this phone will be out. Possibly a few days after for Verizon to get set up.

But, because we are ten days aware from the anticipated release date, and because this day is so close, I am confident that this date is a educated estimate. Motorola is likely ready to ship the phone right now and is finishing up the promotions and advertising to go with it.

Who the hell wants this brick on their belt. What happened to small compact phones?

It appears that the only currently available phone is the V600 but the V710 should be out shortly. Noone seems to carry the SE Z600 yet or the V500/525. Does anyone know of other options besides the V710 since my only requirements are a clamshell phone with bluetooth and I would gladly pass on some of the other stuff to save money and get better battery life. I don't need the phone immediately but I would love to get one to use the BT features of my new car.

I've seen pictures of the phone where u plug in the cable. It looks unfortunately similar to the one on t720. I say that because I remember having problems charging my t720. If the v710 uses that same charger and data cable I hope to god they fixed the charging problem!

theres way too much activity re moto,emails etc so going by past exp this phone is only days away. Maybe 10 days or so

ok, heres my new odds after scouring all the forums, emails from manufacturers and chatting w VZW store managers and 1-800 2JOININ: First off, a new video phone is now imminent in the next few days/weeks.No later than June 4. Maybe even in a few scant days. Odds: 9900 is fave at 7-5. V710 a co-fave at 7-5. 7000 close behind at 5-2. 670 a longshot now at 10-1
