Totally against Analog mode!!!
OMG! What I just read in Glossary, has scared me away from Analog mode phones. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware of such details about AMPS before. Glossary states the following (see under AMPS):
AMPS uses more battery power and emits more radiation than digital modes. Digital modes also have generally better sound quality than AMPS, and provide more features.
My main concern is higher radiation emition. Why would anyone use Analog mode just to make an important call whenever & wherever, "sacrificing" one's own health even if it's only a tinge of radiation? Think!
ANALOG SHOULD BE PROHIBITED (for the sake of OUR health); MORE TOWERS SHOULD BE BUILT INSTEAD (for perfect reception)!

I would gladly explain that to you but I know nothing about how phones work, esp. 911 call. But believe me, I tried it once being down on a subway platform (NYC subway) where my phone never gets any signal. Sounds odd but true. 😕

Listen, Bottom line is that LG could have included Analog without sacrificing any features. And by doing that, everyone could have been a potential customer. However, for some reason they choose not to? 😕
