will the release drop the 7000 price?
well.. i get NE2 on the 16th of nov. i have decided on the 7000. i LOVE the 8000 but dont have the money.
so i was wondering if the release of the 8000 would drop the price of the 7000? it has to go down about 50$ to make is 100% free. any idea if this could happen?

I'm in the same predicament. Well, sort of.
I'm going to be getting my first cell phone soon, probably late February at the earliest. I have my eye on the VX-7000. And I'm pretty set on it. It has everything that I want / need, while packaging it in a cool, thin, good-sized phone.
Well anyway, according to my parents, paying $100 for a cell phone is out of the question (She got a Motorola T730, and my brother and father got a phone for free too, so she seems to think that you can get a good phone for free. Ha. And she's the one who bought the T730 🙄 . It's horrible!). She's making me wait until February to get the phone. And I don't really have any other choice, because she's going to early upgrade her phone and upgrade our famil...

While the 7000 may go down in price somewhat because the 8000 will now be the "flagship," many on these boards that work for Verizon have stated they will not be "pushing the 7000's out the door," because they are two different types of phones (EVDO, etc.) and the 8000 is NOT intended to replace the 7000.

Okay, thanks for your input RMG. So you're saying that VZW MAY lower the price some, yet the VX7000 will still be a popular phone and that they aren't done with it yet?
