Tester for 8000
Hello to all, my co worker is a tester for the 8000 and has been rocking it for a couple weeks. If you have any basic question I can ask him or just mess with the phone to find out for you. Let me know and I will try to get back to you as soon as possible

If you use the phone for Internet access, is that when the Ev-DO comes into play?
If you use the phone with a Mobile Office Kit, can you get a laptop onto the Internet using the Ev-DO speeds? Would you need a data account to do that, or would it pull from regular minutes at that point?

Not sure I am gonna be able to answer that question as EVDO is not available in our market yet.

You can access the web from your laptop using the VX8000 as a tethered modem, using a USB cable. That will give you EVDO speeds in areas that EVDO is currently deployed. However, it is a service you have to subscribe to.

I work at Verizon Wireless and I can assure all of you that the VX8000 will be released very soon, before X-mas. I am currently carrying the 8000 (beta test model) and I promise you are all going to LOVE it! VZW plans on launching 23 new phones before Christmas, I imagine the phones will start rolling in this week and continue weekly.
**I found this in the LG forum here...how can there be so many different dates?

VZW plans on launching 23 new phones before Christmas, I imagine the phones will start rolling in this week and continue weekly.

Yea that does seem wierd that the picture you dook is not even a resolution option on the 8000. Take some more pictures to prove me wrong. More importantly, how is the video quality? Could someone in these forums post a video taken from the 8000? I would like to see what the quality is like.

The second one down and third are what i forwarded from the phones to picture trail. BTW somewas askign about VIB + High Ringer, u can turn the vibrate on or off with any ring level just like the VX7000

yeah i will see what i can do about the video, i just got my Black 7000 today, anyone know how i can do MP3 Ringers from my Mac, i know i have ot convert to smaller file and then change extenstion to .mid but still not working
