Has anyone receive the Mobile Office kit? How does it work? 😕 Can transfer pictures ring-tones etc directly from the PC to the phone or do you have to transmit then via email wirelessly to the phone? How well does it save your settings on your phone or your data?

nope. using evdo voids our deal and we have to reutn the lg vx8000. but i so badly need one. i have to go buy a wireless card for my labtop. i used to just hook up my lg vx6000 and surf online from anywhere. i dont want the evdo internet either, just the regular 1xrtt express network. the lg vx6000 cable does NOT fit into the lg vx8000.

"using evdo voids our deal...." You must be joking. How does Verizon expect you to test their phone if they won't let you use one of its major features? That is STUPID on their part.

Do they think no one who buys the phone will be interested in connecting it to a laptop? That is one of the features that has me the most interested: the ability to hook up my laptop while on the road and fix a client's system.

Please let them know that they are shoting themselves in the foot by not letting you test EV-DO.

I have Mobile Office from my 7000. The software and cable work fine. In fact, when I plugged in the cable, the computer searched for my phone and came up with a picture of the 8000!

I do not use Mobile Office for connecting to the internet, as I have a desktop. I use it to keep a list of my contact numbers, and that works flawlessly.

yeah the EVDO is gonna be 79.99 a month for internet access plus Voice, a tad expensive, but for DSL speeds anywhere with EVDO it would be worth it. I can't wait for this phone and EVDO in the Bay area
