Well, in this care, Verizon Wireless wants to test its MobileMedia service and it's only avaliable (as of now) in San Diego and Washington D.C. I called Verizon to ask if I was able to test the VX8000, she said Verizon picks the people. Though you are getting to do this, you will have to pay $15 per month for one and a half months, and then you get this phone to keep for the rest of your life...

Well hello there. If you are new to this forum you have missed out. There are some real street racers here. It surprises me a little that everybody has not responded to a girl asking questions with the name hottie in it. It kinka makes me question which side of the plate most of these guys are hitting from. I can answer your questions. First of all to test a new phone you have to be in the right market. I live in Iowa, so when they come out with a phone that looks like a cow turd, we will be the first to test it. Someone told me to be picked to test phones you have to be on a high end plan, have a data anything on your plan, or/and work at verizon.

my dad works at verizon corp. hes pretty high up in there, but he cant make deals or connections with verizon wireless. they r 2 totally different companies. i have a 1000 text plan. 800 shared.

WTF?!? I work at an indirect store and I even have a better plan than that. How can your dad not get deals. I have friends who just do sales at corp and they have awesome plans. And it's not just them, it's there lady friends and family also. I personally think your dad is being to hard on you. Give him a big hug and tell him to love you for who you really are.

i'm with blatch on this one. most of the girls i know don't even know how to check their voicemail let alone download mp3s to their vx7000s. (i'm not sterotyping) so personally, i think its cool that there are girls out there that like this kind of stuff

Ive been looking at Phone Scoop for the past year really.I live in NYC,the service is great all over I go sometimes I even get service in the subway(its rare). After I read the thread about VZ giving free 8000 i wonderd if they were going to test more phones because my 6000 has to go and the contract ends next christmas âšī¸, soo there is no way my dad will get me a new phone.

They would be taking the first 500 people in my area. I called the number given and they signed me up. That was at 7PM. Wednesday afternoon I received my new phone.
They told me that the limitation was to be that the phone number could only be the main number for the account (mine) and that I had to pay the $15 per month for the extra service (unlimited web and video and music) that the new phone could use.
Also I would have to use the phone and the service until January 16th and that I would have to respond to email or voice questions about the service.
The trial is only open to San Diego and Washington DC areas only. ...

The phone looks like the ones in this web site if that is what you mean. If you mean can I post screen shots, it is basically like other LG phones. If you want samples of the pix that it takes, I can only post pix by sending pix message which I don't like to do on principle. 25 cents seems like too much to me for a message. I am hoping that in the future that I will be able to get a USB cable and transfer pix that way.

Speakerphone is OK but not loud. Good enough for like online banking or waiting on hold. Louder would use up batteries.
It does come with a stereo headphone with a microphone and a button for hanging up and voice dialing.
Pics are 1.3 mp. Default is 640 x 480. You can turn it up to full res. Video is 177 by 2 something but is good.
You can download MP3 but there are none yet. You can record your ring tone. I haven't experimented yet but you can download actual sounds, not just midi.
