This is mainly going out to the lucky few who have acquired the 8000, I just had a few questions about the phone before I decide whether to commit or not. My first question is, does this phone have vibrate and ring? I know it has ring, it I know it has vibrate, but does it have both at the same time? I love my 7000 that I have now but it drives me nuts that it does not have vibrate and ring. My next question is, can you still record your own ringers on the 8000 like you can with the 7000? I love this feature, and I love not having to pay for ringtones even more. I think that is about it, if someone could give me some feedback on this I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance

The 8000 has ring and vibrate at the same time, just like the 7000. Check your settings. You can record a new ringtone on the 8000, just like the 7000.

RMG007, thank you for telling me about the vib. and ring. when I first read it I though, this guy is full of it, I have had this phone since July. I never thought to go under call call sounds ~> call vibrate, I am use to the old LG's that have vib. and high on the regular volume menu. Thanks again, amd I am also glad to hear the recordable ringtones as well. One more thing, are you able to adjust the color scheme of the phone like you can with the 6000 or is it the crappy choices like with the 7000? Thanks again

It's been awhile since I used a 6000, but I think the color schemes are pretty similar to the 7000 . . . business, blue, etc. Hope that helps.

RMG007, with the 6000 you can select like font color for the numbers and also like you can change the colors of the menu bars at the top and bottom of the screen. Thanks a lot RMG

Well,.... how about from a free ringtone site!!? 😉 Just do a Goggle search for them! 😁 There are many sites, some better than others but depends on what ringtones you want or like.

I thought that Verizon made it so you can only download from their website. I haven't seen Verizon phones on the compatability lists on those websites...

You can just send the file to your phone and put in in your "Gallery" and use it as a ringtone. For ease of doing so, just download a true .mid song or tune and save it on your computer then send it to your phone. It will be the right size and format which will make it easy.

To save cost, send multiple files at once to your phone and then rename them when you get them.

Do a search in this Forum for more on ringtones and what to do.
