Hi all, I know many of you have gotten hold of an 8000 to test and was wondering if you thought it was the righ toption to upgrade from the vx-4400. I don't need all the bells and whistles b/c I won't be paying for the service to download clips etc. But as far as quality, battery life, value etc is this the way to go or would you recommend the v265 instead? I was dumb and let the 9900 slip through my hands during the promo so am hoping someone can shed some light on this for me. Thank you for your time and guidance.

no, this phone is definitly not for you, especially if your not looking for all the bells and whistles. This phone is the epitome of bells and whistles, thats why were all eager for its arrival. Why don't you try the vx-4500 it has made great strides since your last phone or the vx-6000 or vx-6100 it has great battery life reception and price; plus it may introduce you to some of the new technologies available and which will be available to future phones.

When you say "add mp3s" do you mean entire songs or as ringtones?
