SCH-A890 vs lg8000
Can anyone compare these to phones for me, I held the samsung in my hand a few weeks back at a meeting and thought it was extremely cool. The menu is in 3d so when you hit the up key it swivels through menu options like you were playing doom on the computer or something. The phone seemed smaller than my 7000 so that is a plus. Any thoughts on this one?

I am thinking around the same time as the lg probably sooner. My regional had one at our last meeting and had no clue about when the 8000 was coming, so I am guessing we will see the samsung first since he had it in his hand. I don't know to much about the samsung, just that it has evdo, 1.3 megapixel camera and looks pretty cool, and

I doubt few if any 3g evdo phones will be tri-mode because of the new network they operate on. I personally like LG's designs better then samsung and reccomend the LG vx8000 to everyone.

How do you guys get your hands on the new EVDO phones? I've been calling Sprint and Verizon plus LG and SS and was told that they're not released yet! I need 2 of each for testing purposes. Can anyone help???

I do not believe that is equipped with a trans-flash memory slot. The phone has internal memory from what I hear.

I do not like the samsung personally. It's a personal preference, but I am an LG fan and will be getting the 8000 if it ever comes out. 🙂 The user interface on this 890 at first is cool the way it slides in 3D, but other than that I found nothing special about this phone (I am lucky enough to play with it for a few days).
Cons:
No speakerphone
no memory card slot
only a decent camera, not great (has delay when taking pic)
Digital only
Samsung UI sucks!
no video cam, just still pics
decent inside screen but nothing special (doesn't compair to the 9900 or even 710)
Pros:
TFT outside display is sharp!
feels solid (not cheap like the moto710)
decent size (good form factor IMO)
