LG VX-8000
Never had one
I have never owned an LG made phone, so I would like to ask what exactly is so great about this phone. I know all the specs and I know all the features. This phone had more forum pages than any other new phone, way more than the 8940. There hasn't been a post on that forum in a week. So why is this phone so popular, I see other phones that look better and can do more. I am not hatin on the phone just want a honest answer on why this phone is supposedly gonna be so great. Why is this phone better than say an Audiovox 8940, or a SE S710a. Which I might add both have memory card, a requirement that should not be ignored when it comes to a megapixel phone which some people will buy just for the high quality camera. Lg might not have as many gadgets on there phones, but the actual phone is a much higher quality. They seem to have less bugs, better reception and last longer than most other brands. Check out consumer reports or jd powers, they are always ranked way up on the list in quality. We sell a good amount of phones out of our location and seem to have far less problems with the lg brand than motorola, audiovox, and especially kyocera(all junk)

This phone and the 8940 both may be very good phones but most of the people posting messages really can not answer this question fully, including me, since NEITHER have been released and no one, except a few testers have used them, and certainly not both of them. Plus the phones now are pre-production models subject to change.
Actually, have you looked through these posinting? Is there really anything here that that is of REAL importance. Lately all have read is about how UGLY the phone is, questions about if there are certain lights on the phone, is it tri-mode, questions on ringtones, how much memory, etc. Have you seen anything really helpful?

Since you have the 8000 how is the speaker phone? I tried the 6100 and returned it because the speaker phone was very poor quality. 😁

I have the phone as well and the speaker is about 2x better then the one on the v710. I duno about what jimspobox was saying about the camera... It takes excellent pictures. Way better then the v710. the vx8000 is a great phone.

Played with the real thing and think that it is real nice. The picture quality is nice and if you are a gadget fan, the front controls can control the MP3 player without opening-sweet. The video quality is nice. It is a little cold and mechanical looking but will be a hot seller. I just hope LG can deliver the phone with a little better production speed than the last couple hot phones--Mot 710 and LG 6100.
