not quite sure why the pricing on the 8000 is cheaper than the other two phones. Those other 2 phones suck! (Not that I'm complaining though...) 🙂

Why do you say the 8940 sucks?

The 8940 has a superior camera, and it also has a removable mini SD card that the 8000 lacks. That's a major advantage of the 8940!

Otherwise, the features are about the same. If it sucks, let's hear why!!! 😕 Can you back up that statement? 🙄

The memory card is a big advantage. Why do you say the camera is better on the 8940? Where does it say that?

A lot of it comes down to personal preference and opinions. I see people all the time with crappy phones that are perfectly happy with them. I see people that have great phones that say they hate them. But I have yet to see a good Audiovox 8000 series phone. The 8600, 8900, 8910 are all ...

although the 8940 is a step in the right direction with the exception of the camera how it pops out. You'll have to see the 8940 in person to see what I'm talking about with the camera.

Is this what you are talking about?

I was at a Circuit City store and a Verizon company store yesterday. I was inquiring about the VX-8000 and A-890. The Verizon store said that the 8000 was pushed back and wouldn't be out till late Feb, early March. He said the Samsung was going to be out first, probably Feb. 1. (He was personally waiting for the 8000.)
The Circuit City Verizon rep said as far as he knew the 8000 was still set for Feb. 1, but as always, it is subject to change. He didn't know anything about the A-890.
And nobody said anything about the Vox 8940, which is what I'm leaning towards getting (if it is actually released this 1st Q).
Anybody else have absolultely confirmed release dates for these phones?

It's the 1st of Feb. They have done way too much advertising for VZ to change it now...plus the phones been approved for over a month now.

It looks like they will all have 70 mail in rebates at launch on the 1st! The reabates are already available for order. I am glad the Lg will be a little less since I will be paying cost for it after selling my 7000 on ebay🙂
