This is great, I just connected my laptop to my lg8000 at evdo speeds. I did it the same as before

account : xxxxxxxxxx@vzw3g.com
password : vzw

used the sprint pcs modem strings

and dialed #777

It connected without a problem

I used the usb cord that came with the mobile office kit for the 7000 and 6100. Since I have a mac, I didn't need any of the drivers that came with office kit.

And what then? Can you connect to a corporate network, surf the Internet, etc.? And are you using a dial-up account at a separate ISP? Are you using your voice minutes or a special plan? Thanks.

It wouldn't come off of your minutes as if you have V-Cast on your account, you have unlimited access to the EV-DO (Broadband Access) network.

That's also true when you are using the mobile web. If you are surfing the mobile web while the "EV" icon is at the top of your phone, you are not using airtime minutes.

In Mac OSX, when I set up the connection, it asks me to pick a modem out of a list of 50 or so choices. From past experiences with using other phones as modems, the sprint pcs selection always works.
