Interstingly you can record and play sound with it.
Probably a feature that did not totally make the deadline. From what I can see poking around there are a few things that did not make the ship date.
The firmware upgrade will probably include a few features. Oh.. like the point of why they gave us the headphones in the first place. Or maybe that was just to taunt us.

The headphones are to dial with flip closed...when you press the silver button for 2-3 secs, the phone's outside menu goes into calls mode and you can use the volume rocker to select who you wanna call, and then either hit the play button or press the silver button again for 2-3 secs...
