Does bitpim .73 work with the 8000?

BITPIM does now support the VX8000, beginning with version 0.7.29 and above.
I've successfully used it to download and upload my address book, ringtones, and backgrounds. I have seen two issues:
1. Sometimes BITPIM doesn't recognize the phone is plugged in. I usually can get around this by turning off the phone, plugging it in, and turning the phone on while connected. BITPIM then seems to find the phone OK.
2. With the exception of speed dial numbers 5 and 6, BITPIM doesn't recognize any of my speed dial settings. Why those particular two speed dials work, I have no idea.

.73 did not work for me. I can see the file structure so the cable is working but no way to load the address book. Has anyone else got this to work?

I've gotten BITPIM to work successfully with my 8000, including the Address Book.
Make sure you change Edit|Settings to indicate the VX8000. With older versions of BITPIM that did not have the 8000, I could use a different phone model to see and update the file system. If you can only see the file system, then I suspect you've not changed the phone model.
Hope this helps.

Yes changing the settings got it to work BUT it can't copy my address book because bitpim says it is corrupted and it got corrupted when my address book was copied by verizon BUT it works just fine. But the solution to delete everything and enter the data manually is not too good since I have 200 entries. I wish bitpim would work with adddress books copied by verizon. Does anyone else have this problem?
