The V710 is better if you want bluetooth and analog. But the VX8000 has EV-DO and streaming multimedia, as well as the same megapixels on the camera but with a CCD sensor, which is supposed to be better quality.

although the V710 is a much better looking phone, for me the VX8000 seems to be better to fit what I like. I wish either phone had the 180ยบ rotating camera like the LG VX7000. That would be even better.

I have to agree and dissagree with you there. I think the phone looks really cool but the front of the phone contains the camera, not the hinges to it looses the swivel effect of the camera. I will defidently get the LG VX8000 but I got a question. The DSL speeds on the phone as a result of that 1xEV-DO stuff: Are the DSL speed for browsing pages and menus, or just going on the internet on the phone??

That's exactly what I'm doing, in the mean time I'm getting the LG VX7000 which I previosly had for 15 days but returned to give the Motorola a fiar trial...

I am really pleased with the Lg VX7000! If I think the LG X7000 is awesome, I know I'll love the VX8000...

The VX8000 will be great. Even though I wish it did video calling, the other features and nice looks make up for it.

Video calling is basically a video conference, where you can see the person you're talking to and you can see them. The Motorola A845 for AT&T Wireless does support this feature, but it seems like the talk times alone on W-CDMA are least an hour less than GSM, plus video calling would probably drain your battery even faster. From what I've heard the quality isn't that great either. Plus, I don't think the latency is low enough and the uplink speed great enough to supply an excellent video conferencing experience.

You do have to admit, it is still pretty cool.

There are updates to Verizon's CDMA technology which would provide a better video conferencing experience coming in the next year or two. Even though we're not going to have it as...

The v710 has much more features. (if you don't believe me you can compare the 2 phones.) So I'm getting the v710, but when the vx8000 comes out i'll check that out and possibly trade in my v710 if i like it better. ๐Ÿ˜

I thought this was a v710 forum. I'm sure many of the newest phones coming out are great depending on what you specificly are looking for. I know one thing and that is I appreciate technology and the advancements that have been made with ALL gadgets. I want the v710 and if it sucks after the fact I will get the next phone that sends tingles up my spine. If I was in the fricken vx8000 forum I would probably buy that, but I'm not. Stick to the forums of your interest, stop crossing over to downgrade OUR purpose of being on this forum for the v710!
I'm right with you needabox2live.
