Hey guys, i was wondering how to put full mp3 songs onto my 8000...can i do it over email like you can with ringtones, or do i have to buy the cable, what cable should i buy, and what is QPST? And, is there going to be a safe way to transfer mp3s over the PC to the phone?

Verizon Sued For Disabling Bluetooth Functions

Verizon Wireless customers in California are suing the Bedminster, N.J.-based mobile phone operator for disabling some of the Bluetooth capabilities in a Motorola Inc. handset.
According to the class action lawsuit, Verizon disabled some of the advertised Bluetooth features in Motorola's v710 phone.
"Verizon Wireless has enjoyed enormous financial gains by marketing and selling the popular Bluetooth v710 phone then disabling almost all of its Bluetooth capabilities, resulting in a degraded phone, which requires the customer to use other Verizon 'paid' services in place of the Bluetooth capabilities that were supposed to be part of the phone's Bluetooth features," the lawsuit said.
The v710 handset, which Verizon released in August, all...

Using iTunes to create 30 sec. .mid file from mp3

To create an mp3 in iTunes go to edit>preferences>import using>mp3 encoder>setting>custom>stereo bit rate>64kbps>ok>ok.

Next: file>add file to library>choose your location of the file>ok. The file is imported to your library.

Right click on the file and choose get info (or control+i). New window opens then choose options. Click start time and stop time and enter the corresponding times that you want. Click ok.

Make sure your target file is highlighted and right click on it to choose convert selection to mp3. A new mp3 is created with your settings.

Right click and choose copy to save outside of iTunes (like the desktop). Once the file is saved on the desktop you must rename it to xxxx.mid. To do this go to control panel and c...

transfer of files?

this question is about the samsung sch 890 - sorry for posting in the lg forums. i'm using the 890 in the 15 day trial period & i'm deciding on whether to stick w/it, or try the lg vx 8000. i tried getting free ringtones but haven't been successful - this forum seems to be in the know, please help!

i downloaded a midi ringer from brewbackups & sent it to my samsung 890 using the email method to vzwpix. the transfer works fine - the midi file is in my phone, i can hear it play, and it's saved in "my sounds" but when i try to set it as a ringtone it gives me the msg "cannot assign non-drm content as ringer." is it the midi file that's the prob? or is it the samsung? or something else? i hear that the lg vx8000 and audiovox 8940 can set the ...

Anybody have this problem?

I recently updated my phone plan for the VX8000. i.e. 2000 min/ pix & flix and web for $14.99/mth. However, with the pix/flix package it won't allow me to try VCast. The associate at VZW couldn't get my account to show that I could promo VCast. He said that it "interfered" with the pix/flix thing. He said that he would call coporate and have this fixed and then call me but he didn't. Anybody else have this problem? Is everyone else trying VCast? I'm going to VZW tomorrow to see if they could fix this. 😕 😡

Only 10 contacts per group?!?!?

Is it actually true that you can only add 10 contacts to a group?!?! The 'No Group' can start out with all if the contacts, but new groups seem to be limited to 10?

PC connectivity

Will the LG 8000 be able to be used as a modem for a PC? Verizon says Mobile Office will not work with the 8000. Is there a way around this?

I loved it, it was fun....but I think Im gonna go back.

The 8000 was amazing, Ive owned it for a week and I had no problems. The VCast is very, very cool, but I think at this point I'll save my $400. (retail) and wait for "my perfect phone", rather than settling for what VZW has right now. I also think that the VCast fad wore off for me and I seem to be thinking about the extra $15.00 a month every time I'm buffering for the second time on the same one minute CLIP.
I dont know, it is very cool and its amazing, I'm just for some weird reason not as excited as I thought I would be after one week. Maybe the 8100, or the e815 will hype me up again. We'll see, for now the 9900 is up and running again. (I did add the web though for only $5.00 extra). I'll keep on the forums and be more than willin...

Mega pixel resolution

Out of box the phone is set to the same resolution of a VGA camera (640x480), and if you actually switch it to the megapixel res. (1280x960) and then try to take a picture my phone will not display the taken picture nor save it. Any one else??? Please let me know.

I don't even use GIN I refuse to give into corporate greed. I am surprised Verizon doesn't charge one for breathing air when you walk into one of their stores.....

USB-USB cable? (Not USB-Serial Converter cable)

I picked up the vx6000 cable for my vx8000 only to find the blob in the middle is a usb to serial port converter forcing the connection to the vx8000 to be serial. Does someone make a usb to usb cable to connect usb all the way to the vx8000?
