First you have to train the voice dialing, under the settings menu and voice services.
Train what? According to the info page here, the voice dialing is "speaker-independent (no training required)".
You have the option to train the "Command Words" and the Digits" for "Digit Dialing"... This just makes them MORE accurate...
When the phone is set in driving mode and you receive a call with the flip open, the main LCD shows the caller's number, and an announcement comes on saying "call from "the person's name" (if the name is stored in the phone book.) Also it really works great with a headset... then you can have the flip closed...

Note: Did not get my 6100 yet, but I often use my Wife's 4500 which has the same "Drive Mode"

I did not get my 6100 yet, but it looks like it works just like the 4500... where while in a call you can go back and forth using the speakerphone by using the [UP] on the 5-way navigation key...
You can also turn the speakerphone on prior to a call with the same key...
Is it not like this on the 6100...???
