Changing # of Rings Before Voice Mail Picks Up

Is there any way to change the number of times the phone rings before it is transferred over to Voice Mail or to manually send a call to Voice Mail after the first ring?

The only way to change that is to call into Verizon and ask them to. Most you can bump it up to is 8 rings or about 40 seconds.

is there any way to program certain incoming callers each time they call to go straight to VM?
