Have vx6100 and USB cable - now what to do with it?
Also, the software it came with only allows addresses to be transferred, and this software looks rather lame. For example, I store my phone/addresses in Palm Desktop, and ideally I'd like to do a "one click" sync from PD to the phone. Right now, I have to export from PD, then manually edit the CSV file it generated to combine the first and last name fields, and add some headings, then run the Quicklink Mobile Phone software and respecify all the mappings that I want between the fields. By the way, am I supposed to be able to use the USB modem device driver (was installed when I loaded the s/w from the CD that came with the cable) to actually dial out, to a real phone-based ISP? The Verizon sales guy said that would not work and that I'd have to pay another $50/month for data access -- was he lying to me just to sell me more stuff? (He also claimed the only way to get pictures out was to pay the 25 cents each when emailing them through the phone, but he was wrong.) All I need to say is, this kit is better than any others, and the price is really reasonable! Once you own a piece of it then you'll believe.
