LG VX-6100
Specific 6100 vs. 7000 RF Questions, quick replies needed from those who've had both
I'm thinking of switching to a 7000 and have a couple days yet to do it.
My questions:
For those who have had both. WILL the 7000 pick up and hold a USABLE digital signal in marginal areas (indoors, basement, etc.) where the 6100 either switched on its own or (more likely) needed to be manually forced to a different mode? Are the Rx Power numbers different enough between the two?
Many thanks to those who reply.
Mike
I have had both and I kept the 6100. I had reception problems with the 7000 in my office and it did sound any better than my old v60. Didn't sound digital at all.
I even took the 6100 to the D.R. and it worked good. Nice and clear talking and sound. And I haven't even had the s/w update yet.
If any one else knows why this is true, let me know. I am kinda sorry about it b/c I really liked the look of the 7000 and I didn't thing the likes on it was gay at all. They have actually woke me up at times.
my 2 cents

It would be cool if verizon would throw in the 7000a in to the line up. It has analog.
I still am confussed about the whole analog and digital thing, maybe I have has bad phones. I JUST WANT A PHONE THAT WORKS,
ist that so wrong?
