Here in Virginia, good luck getting a VX-6100 upgrade from Verizon Wireless. You'll need it.

When I went back to the store, they said, "Our cable doesn't work and we couldn't upgrade your phone." You'd think they'd tell me that when I dropped it off, or at LEAST when I picked it up. The software "did" fix my volume bug, totally like the phone now.
I had to drive an hour to get to a Verizon store so I called to verify they had the update and could get it done.
I had 2 phones to update, for some reason they can't do two at a time so luckily I had other errands to do, took a couple of hours. Glad to have the fix!

That was the other thing: when I asked if it would keep my pictures they said that they had no idea. They certainly did not indicate that they would copy any files over first. This was true of both locations.

Not a ringing endoresment of those stores' tech's level of expertise.

I did call many times, but that Alexandria location wasn't answering the tech support line. It wouldn't matter even if I did, since when I dropped it off the lady thought they could do it, and still thought so after I picked it up.
