LG VX-6100

is the speaker phone loud and is it clear? i want this phone but it needs to have loud and clear speaker and also how is the earpiece and reception? compared to the vx6000....?

I read about this setting in the manual and I'm not sure that I fully understand what it does. Generally I prefer to crank up the earpiece volume as high as I can at all times. So for me, is it better to have Auto Volume set to On or Off? Thanks.

Hey everyone, I have recently purchased the VX 6100 and love it, except for the volume bug. I have saved my voice mail passowrd in the message setting window for ease of use, but I noticed that when I have a new voicemail, and the little dialog box comes is, and I hit listen, it automatically dials *86, not the number that I have saved in the message settings window that would automatically input the password. Any ideas here? Thanks inadvance!!

What is manner mode. I have read the term in other threads

I am considering this phone. My question: is there any way to turn off analog band completely, only keep digital bands? I live in a big city, and do not travel much, so I don't need analog band.

Any input is welcome.

Hey, I'm wondering if anybody knows how to change the number that is dialed when I press the envelope button on the 6100. I want to change it so that it dials my phone number rather than *86 so that I'm not charged minutes when checking VM. I changed the number in Message Settings but even after that, pressing the envelope button still dials *86. Anybody know how to do this? Thanks!

is there a mp3 player on this phone? and if there is how do i put them on a play them?

Has anyone figured out to send multiple midi's from the web to this phone, i noticed you can no longer do it on vzwpix.com, only pictures...

Does anyone know if it is possible to use the VX-6100 speakerphone with the flip closed?

One thing I like about this phone is that it allows me to record a voice memo and use it as a ring tone. I recorded my daughter saying "Daddy, your phone is ringing. Daddy, your phone is ringing." And assigned it as my ring tone. What I've noticed however are three things:

1) When playing the voice memo it sounds noticeably louder than when the phone rings and uses the same recording as the ring tone.

2) Adjusting the volume of the ringer seems to have very little effect on the volume of the voice memo. The difference between the lowest and highest ringer volumes is mostly unnoticeable.

3) Even if I shout while recording the memo, it still plays pretty low.

I'm wondering if BitPim (http://www.bitpim.org) can solve this issue...

Hey there, i read your review n i noticed you said you didnt like having to open the phone to put it into manner mode... you dont have to open it. if you hold down the volume down button on the outside, it will go in and out of manner mode. hope i helped you out!!!!

Can the VX6100 ringer be set to vibrate only, without putting the phone into "manner mode"?

Each of the outside buttons on the VX6100 does 'something' when held for more than 3 seconds with the flip closed.

The volume down button puts the phone in/out of manner mode. The voice button puts the phone in/out of driving mode. The camera button puts the phone in/out of camera mode.

With the phone in a purse, bag, etc., any or all of these buttons could be pressed and various features activiated/deactivated.

Is there a way to disable all the exterior buttons when the flip is closed?

Last week I week to local Verizon store to
purchase a case for LG6100. The rep. told me
that there is another software upgrade.
I had the last one in Jan. But there is
another available which I was not aware of.
My phone was again upgraded... took one hour.
Doe's anyone know what this upgrade is about?

I've tried setting the auto-answer but phone still rings 9 or 10 times b/4 going into message.

how many can this phone hold so i know when i'm near the limit. they are all basicaly 30 second clips. thanks.

I'm trying to find out if it is possible to transfer pre-loaded ringtones from one phone to another using datapilot? I have the LG VX3200, 6100 and the 7000. Or is there any other way to do this if it is possible? Thanks

I'VE DOWNLOADED REAL MUSIC RINGTONES ON MY PHONE. BUT, IS THERE A WAY I CAN FIX THE VOLUME? (THE VOLUME IS REAL LOW. I CAN BARELY HEAR THE RINGTONE WHEN THE PHONE RINGS- EVEN WHEN THE VOLUME IS @ HIGH) 😕

Does anyone know which applications on GET IT NOW have regular ringtones like the ringing sound or like a loud BEEP to use for a message alert???
