If someone calls and u have their picture under their name will it show on the ext display? And is it true that uhat u cannot change the outer displays wallpaper from that digital clock?

This is for people who get knocked off mMode....Wait a minute or two then try again. If this does not help try getting in an AT&T service area. I get the same problem. 2. Your phone might need an update from At&t so don't panic and turn the phone in!!! Be easy. 3. Remove Sim card and reinsert it after five minute's this should solve your problem

i want to take back my review this phn is one of the best phns i ever owned!!!! I found out u have to hold the camera on the side for 2 seconds and the camera works. This phn gets a perfect score from me!!! Sorry Nokia bu now im stuck on samsung

I have this phone, and while I like it, there are a few things I want to change. I don't see any place to change them in the phone, so I'm thinking I might have to learn how to hack phones. Any suggestions on docs/websites?

Some of the things I want to do are change the default text entry for new text messages. Right now, the default mode is lowercase text, and I'd like it to start in T9. I'd also like to reprogram the m-Mode button to act like select.

well one day i turned on my phone and all of my information like phone numbers and everything was all gone so now i want to return it to get a new one but i purchased this phone in 1800mobiles.com so does anyone know what can i do to return it and get another one ???????

My experience with the e316 has been rather disappointing, but I think it has more to do with AT&T than the phone. I really like having such a compact flip with an external display AND a camera, plus all of the other great features it has. However, the bottom line is that AT&T coverage in my area (Phoenix) is not all that great, especially in my neighborhood. I have been a poster boy for the "can you hear me now" commercials since getting this phone. I will likely return this phone and go back to T-Mobile.

By the way, I got this phone for $50 through Wirefly. I was a little nervous going through a 3rd party, but everything worked out well. We'll see what happens during the return process though.

I was wondering if there were any good sites where I could download real ringtones for my E316 for free...I read about wap.truepolyphonic.com, but I got a little confused with mMode and everything. If anybody has knowledge on truepolyphonic, do you think you could explain how I would go about using it? Thanks. Also, is there a way to set a picture (not the picture ID, just to replace the ball on the display) on the external display of the phone? I don't like the ball and would like to use a different picture, also from truepolyphonic. Thanks in advance.

Does anyone know if there is a "new voice mail" indicator on the outside or inside screen? I had a few voice mails in my mailbox, but there was no indication on the phone that I had any. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I've had my E316 for about 3 weeks now, and last Friday everything that stored on the phone vanished. By everything I mean all non-SIM phone numbers, emails, games (both downloaded and a pre-loaded), etc. Everything disappeared except for photos and videos. Has anyone else had this problem?

I'm going to return it, but I'm not sure if I should get another E316, or if I should go back to the almost great V600. Losing everything was a serious headache, which is much worse then ALL the problems I had with the V600.

Can anyone tell me if you can set up different ringtones for different phones that you have stored in the Samsung E316.

I would not buy this phone (LG1150). I bought this and returned it three days later. I charged the battery overnite and 2 days later the battery was dead. I never turned it on once it was charged. I was also traveling a major highway that has towers every 10 miles and I kept losing calls.

I exchanged the LG1150 for the Samsung E316. This is a great phone. Has a lot more things then the LG1150. The headset for the Samsung sounds excellent. Not like any others that I have tried.

i was wondering if your phone you know the flip thing the one you use to open the one that goes up and down open and closses well does it move to the right and left alittle or is it because is busted or are they all like that?

Hi, I was just wondering, does this phone have all the great features of the Samsung A310? I'm especially curious about the * built-in * answering machine, where I don't have to call into some service where I have to listen to menus to check my voicemail.

Also, is there no USB connection? Meaning that in order to get a picture on my computer, I have to pay to email it to myself?

And can this phone record conversations like my Samsung A310 could?

Basically I need to choose between this and the MOTOROLA V600, which got horrible reviews.
